Au Burundi, la discussion sur les causes, les conséquences et les solutions envisageables pour réduire ou éradiquer les cas de grossesse chez les élèves et les jeunes en général est toujours d'actualité.

C'est pour cette raison qu'en date du 5 Mars 2026, le Consortium APROSAP & ARFH sous l'appui financier de Share-Net Burundi ont organisé un atelier d'échanges avec différents groupes d'influence dans la province RUMONGE sur l'éducation à la santé sexuelle et reproductive des jeunes et adolescents dans cette province où les cas des grossesses chez les jeunes sont toujours en hausse.

Après les échanges, les participants ont pu se familiariser avec l'outil de communication, de partage d'informations de façon ludique et conviviale et de dialogue entre parent-enfant ou éducateur-enfant sur la santé sexuelle et reproductive qui est le jeu "KUZIKO GAME".

Ladite activité a été réussie grâce à l'Association de base PDH (promotion de Développement Humain) qui nous a aidé à relayer le message d'invitation aux leaders communautaires bénéficiaires de d'activité.

Stakeholder Dialogue Workshop with Community Influencers on Child and Youth Well-being in Rumonge Province

Promoting the well-being, protection, and healthy development of children and young people remains a key priority in Burundi. Teenage pregnancy continues to pose significant challenges to adolescents' health, education, protection, and future opportunities, highlighting the need for comprehensive and community-driven responses.

In this context, on 5 March 2026, the APROSAP–ARFH Consortium, with financial support from Share-Net Burundi, organized a multi-stakeholder dialogue workshop in Rumonge Province on Comprehensive Sexual and Reproductive Health Education (SRH) for children, adolescents, and young people. The workshop brought together community leaders and other influential stakeholders to discuss practical strategies for creating a safer and more supportive environment where children and young people can grow, make informed decisions, and reach their full potential.

As part of the workshop, participants were introduced to KUZIKO GAME, an innovative and interactive educational tool that encourages open communication on sexual and reproductive health between parents and children, educators and learners, and other trusted adults and young people. The game promotes dialogue, strengthens knowledge, and helps build positive relationships that contribute to the well-being and protection of children and adolescents.

The activity was successfully implemented with the valuable support of the local partner association PDH (Promotion de Développement Humain), which played a key role in mobilizing community leaders and ensuring their active participation in the workshop.
